Tuomo
Keeper of the Funk
Reading James Holland's Sicily '43 and came across the (I think?) modern-day overhead view of the town of Centuripe, "the prostrate man":
Apparently this village near Mt. Etna was defended by German paras.
I think maybe Lone Canuck did a scenario for this action, but I don't know if it used a historical map. If not, MAN that would be fun to do a map for. Thing is, I can't find any overhead photos from ww2. Nearest I can get is a photo of British soldiers looking out over the town (https://www.bridgemanimages.com/en-US/unknown-photographer/men-of-the-6th-battalion-the-royal-inniskillings-fusiliers-centuripe-1943-circa-lantern-slide/photograph/asset/5922289)
Sorry to not paste the picture itself, but the website it's on seems to want to charge $30 for "personal use" of the photo, and I'd rather just post the link.
