Capturing an abandoned & Docked LC

The situation is the following :


The question is the following : Can the British 8-0 stack advance onto the Stone Pier (2MF - to red circle) and capture the abandoned and docked LCP(L) during the CCPh as per D5.42 and A21.2 ?

I guess we are not sure where the LC is in reference to the Pier (G13.7) ? A) along the pier, B) straddling the hexside as per picture or C) in the deep water hex.

Is there an SSR, since normally LC can't be Abandoned?

They are set-up abandonned per SSR

The Pier rules state that the LC is in a water hex adjacent to the Pier. D5.42 requires the infantry to be in the same location as the abandoned vehicle to enter it. A21 requires the infantry to be in the same location to capture it. I believe the infantry would need to go into the water hex that has the LC in order to capture it in the CCPh.

This is what we discussed as well.
But then I guess the question we had was : HOW can one capture a LC when docked in deep water hex ?
given that Infantry can not move/advance into deep water hex to be in the same location as the LC when it is a prerequisite for both D5.42 & A21.2.

Hence our initial question because we were trying to figure out how can this be possible….since it is a victory condition to our scenario!!

I don't think the LC rules handled how to captured them - since normally you pretty much can't..

The scenario designers may have made an incorrect assumption about capturing LC. What is the name and number of the scenario?

Based on rules, I think the UK have two options to take the LCs:

1- Swim to LC’s hex then Advance in it at APh as per E6.2.

2- From the pier, spend all MF during Mph to load in the LC.

G12.1 states “LC are treated as boats (E5.) except as stated otherwise, but the rules specific to assault boats and rafts (E5.11-.122) do not apply.“ E6.2 does not include vehicles or LC.

I would ask the scenario publisher.
