If the three target hexes were populated by enemies, and the Canister round was successful, and one of those hexes was boresighted, does that hex pick up the -2 resolved with the same DR for effect ???

I don't think the -2 DRM applies to a Canister attack....

Good question! Since spraying fire does not use the boresight DRM, I would guess that same would apply here - since two of the hexes were not boresighted. Moreover, Canister does not require a TH DR, but it is also not a MG or IFE:
