The pre-tourny social meeting point has been found.:

Thursday, May 16, starting at 7:00 pm; Skittles and beer at the High Fives Sports Pub (part of the Best Western Hotel where the tournament will be held).

Come on out and banter before the battles!
Moi aussi, oops, this is Ottawa, not Montreal.

Any out of town players want to pre-arrange a round 1 meet up? I am available for early start.

Edit: nevermind. Doug tells me there is an even number already for Friday.

I’d like to thank Doug and all the others for such a well run tourney. Thanks to all the contributors to the prize pool. Great selection. Special shout out to Rob MacDonald for my new dice tower. Caslo was a great time with great hospitality. Hope to see you all at aslok.

How did you figure the bonus points? Looks like Andy got screwed. How is 40 score 6th, and 49 score 7th?

If you loose in the second round 10 bonus points are secretly deducted.

According to the information package

"
13. Scoring: The winner of the main tournament will be the player with the highest point total at the end of the tournament. Points are awarded as follows:

13.1. Ten points for every victory and five points for every draw that a player has at the end of the tournament. In cases where a player wins by opponent forfeiture, or a player receives a Bye in a Round, that Round counts as a victory for that player.

13.2. One Bonus point for every victory that a player’s defeated opponents have at the end of the tournament."

You get more points for beating players that win more. A.K.A. You beat better players on your way to victory.

Edit: The people that JPR beat earned 13 victories themselves, hence 13 bonus points.
