Here's a handy guide to help you pick the best medieval-themed (well, not really in the case of The Borgias) mini-series.

'Camelot' vs. 'Game of Thrones' vs. 'Borgias': Which epic TV series is best for you?

There’s three lavish premium cable drama series launching next month featuring more scheming, sword fights, ale toasting and bodice ripping than has almost certainly ever graced our televisions at one time. Below is EW’s guide comparing Starz’ Camelot, HBO’s Game of Thrones and Showtime’s The Borgias — three new shows about the struggle to claim (and keep) power in an exotic land. Even if you don’t know mutton from Mordor, this will help you tell the shows apart and you’ll learn which you’ll like best.
Camelot is a rental for me. Games of Throne is MUST SEE viewing. The Borgias - I loved The Tudors, but I think I might make this a rental, too.

Looks like it is a hit!

Spoiler-Free Preview: Game of Thrones really is an astonishing achievement

You've never seen anything like HBO's Game of Thrones before. Lavish, bloody, dark, weird and sometimes amazingly sweet, the cable channel's adaptation of George R.R. Martin's bestselling book series delivers the goods. We've seen the first six episodes, and here's our spoiler-free preview of them. In a nutshell: the series features a host of astonishingly powerful performances that bring a depth and maturity that you seldom see on television, in any genre. And it looks absolutely gorgeous.
:joy:
