C8.2 & G17.1 duplicate post, nothing to see here

Just need to verify (or to refute) the contention that an USMC OB, though an Elite force (17.1), is NOT considered Elite for the increase in Special Ammo #s unless there is a SSR stating thus. G17.1 does not seem to refute the contention of C8.2 that a USMC OB does not meet this criteria, nor does it seem that C8.2 awards this special increase to them unless granted by an SSR. Is this the common understanding of the rules? Thanks in advance for all input.

G17.1 "U.S. Marine MMC are Elite, normally have an ELR of 5 and do not Disrupt." There are lots of MMCs that are Elite. MMC being Elite does not make the force Elite, which is what gives the extra Depletion Number per C8.2. There is one exception: "For DYO scenarios a force is considered Elite only if the Majority Squad Type of its side's total OB is Elite." Are you playing DYO and are the Marines the Majority Squad Type? If so, then your force is Elite too.
