Greetings.

I have played a worthy opponent this weekend, and we decided to play BRT4 aka "Rikusentai". During the initial setup and look over of the scenario we noticed that the Japanese Setup parameters were wrong. It states for the Japanese to set up in Hinterland hexes on/within the perimeter P23-M22-F23-K25-N26-N30-P31-P23.

There is a discrepancy of that setup.. the M22 -F23-K25

Would anyone be aware of any Errata for this?

Below is a the post that was posted on the ASLML. But, there are some questions I have with it, I would like addressed here.

"""I played BRT4? Rikusentai today and it (and BRT in general) generated some
questions. Can anybody help?

1. The Japanese set-up perimeter, as given on the scenario card, seems
wrong. One of the hexes seems out of place and as a result there is not a
hex row to hex row perimeter. We decided that the hex (K23, I think)
should have been F23 (as I recall). That actually made a perimeter and
made more sense as well. I checked the MMP website for errata but couldn't
find any. Does anybody know what the setup truly should be?

2. Rikusentai allows the Japanese player to buy pillboxes per the Campaign
Game rules. The Campaign Game rules, however, limit the placement of
pillboxes to hexes which are outside the Japanese setup area. We decided
that in this *scenario*, pillboxes could be setup anywhere pillboxes can
normally setup. Was this correct?

3. In one of the other scenarios, an SSR seems to allow the Japanese
player to convert buildings into fortified locations or bombproofs. There
are no rules provisions for how a building becomes a bombproof. If it
does, is it treated as a separate location? How is it handled? This was
very confusing.

Any help would be appreciated.
""""

wall

Would that wall be a Low Seawall or a High Seawall? The SSR doesn't say and you don't mention what type of wall that is that you're talking to.

There's a nice AAR about this on page 8 here: http://www.vftt.co.uk/vftt36.pdf

Looks like they set-up like your assumption. It's not explicitly stated, though.

Looking through the official errata on MMP, there was nothing. Odd.

Good luck.

Heh, not to cause any kind of WAR,, but I sent the question to MMP.. here is the response I got.

Below is the question I sent...
> Rule:BRT4 Scenario
> Question:BRT4/\"Rikusentai\". During the initial setup and look over of
the scenario we noticed that the Japanese Setup parameters were possibly
wrong. It states for the Japanese to set up in Hinterland hexes on/within
the perimeter P23-M22-F23-K25-N26-N30-P31-P23.

Below is the MMP response.
I am pretty sure it is off by one, but I can't say for sure exactly how
right now. I think there is one way that makes the most sense. Do that.

That is NOT the sort of answer you want from an official source. And what about the other questions? Good grief.

Another follow up from MMP.

I meant one coordinate was off, not off by one hex. What you propose makes sense but I am without BR:T materials just now and I want to talk the issue over with some others before confirming your interpretation.

I was much happier with this response :D

I am sure it is supposed to be K23. At least the older material has it thataway. This in no way constitutes an official response.
