I would try to clear out all your cookies, then try to go to log in to the forums before you do anything else. Then see if you get that pop up.
Brian,

I just got again and I am currently at work (yes I know its saturday). The filters here prevent us from viewing any material other than work related (porn, violence etc. is a no no).

In fact the only sites I view while at work are Fox News, CNN and GlobalSecurity.org, so its not my internet viewing habits.

It has gotta be leech.

I checked the html source for the last page in the 'People pics here' thread and here's what it yielded, for post #137 (from Admiral)

There's a portion of the code, apparently commented out, that points to this infamous stripovi site (I've put it in bold red). Could it come from here? :hmmm:

Actually, if you follow link within the message tags in your browser (http://www.stripovi.com/Forum/icon_smile_8ball.gif), it shall not link you to a .gif image but to the abhorred login popup.
Could it be that some users have their posts hacked on the fly with the insertion of this apparently malicious piece of code? Maybe some expert in this field of activity could shed some light on this.

Good work nemo! Maybe the explanation is easier; Admiral has simply inserted a picture in his post, or rather a link to the webpage where this picture is located. The linked site requires login to access the page where this picture is located... ? When we open the thread, all images will load, including Admiral's, but since we are not "allowed" in there, we're required to login...

It is possible to insert html "spy" tags, but I've only heard about that for email messages (which is why one shouldn't use html code for email)... But I am a happy amateur! :smoke:

I deleted Admiral's post that had that .gif image in it. That should take care of the login window for everyone else. If you still get it, just delete your cookies. It might be stuck in there.

I think he just linked a picture that was inside a forum that required a login in order to see it. Thus, by linking that picture in here, all of our users (who were not logged into that other forum) were getting asked to log in. That is why the picture would not show up for us.

I am hopeful this will fix it. Thanks for the help in finding the "culprit" :devious:

Yep that trick worked I think!

Now, if only Admiral could tell us what was in that forbidden pic... Was he attempting to outdo Jamiam? :devious:
