Does anyone have a copy of the Borodino Mini-CG rules from LFT #7 or the English Translation in LFT 8?
The French Language version will still be useful.

Unfortunately I don't have either LFT #7 or #8 (Only started getting LFT with but I have all 5 scenarios as republished by MMP in Journal 7 and 8 and I'm just wanting to organise a gathering of people to play through the five scenarios as a Mini CG rather than as stand alone scenarios as something a bit different from the usual win/loss tournament.

Any help would be appreciated as I've been unsuccessful in getting hold of player copies of LFT #7 or #8 on the secondary market as yet.

Here you are:

At Borodino, in October 1941, two excellent German divisions were stopped and delayed almost a week by the Russian 32nd Fusiliers Division. This delay may seem insignificant, but according to the dates of the combats, those few days of October combined with the spirit of sacrifice shown by the Russian troops may have well saved the Russian capital from the worse…The Franc-Tireur proposes you a series of five scenarios which highlight, at an ASL scale, the important moments of this battle.

The Campaign

The five scenarios can be played independently from each other, but they have been conceived to be played in a chronological order as a small campaign. The playing order to follow is :
The Yelnya bridge (FT 31)
Lenin’s sons (FT 32)
Flanking FTs (FT 33)
Borodino train station (FT 34)
Last push to Mozhaisk (FT 35)

German CGVPsRussian CGVPs
FT 31 The Yelnya bridgeExit CVP : normal for the Infantry and half (FRU) for the vehicles.
Locations : 3 VPs per victory building controlled at the end of the scenario.
Exit CVP : normal for the Infantry and half (FRU) for the vehicles.
Locations : 5 VPs per victory buildings controlled at the end of the scenario
FT 32 Lenin’s sonsLocations : 3 VPs per victory building controlled at the end of the scenario.CVPs : normal
Locations : 1 VP per victory building controlled at the end of the scenario.
FT 33 Flanking FTsCVPs : normalLocations : 10 VPs for the station, 10 VPs for the city hall
FT 34 Borodino train stationCVPs : normalCVPs : normal for the Infantry and half (FRU) for the vehicles.
FT 35 Last push to MozhaiskCVPs : normal
Locations : 5 VPs for I8, K7 and X6 (each).
CVPs : normal for the Infantry and 3 VPs par vehicle (1 if only the crew survives).

The campaign victory is based on the victories of each scenario to which the following modifications are added. The CVPs (German or Russian) taken in account for the campaign become CGVPs. Their totals are added as the campaign unfolds and after the last game, " Last push to Mozhaisk". The final Russian CGVPs are subtracted from the final German CGVPs. Then, the results of the campaign can be found below.

Final CGVP > 90: The Father of the People gets caught by a patrol of the Das Reich on Maxim Gorky Street as the last defenders of Moscow fall under the assault of the nazi hordes…Joukov and Rokossovki commit suicide, while Timochenko turns the table and subscribes an engagement in the Waffen SS. Critical German Victory, the swastika floats on the Kremlin and Churchill starts talking peace with Adolf…

Final CGVP > 40 < 90: The operation Typhoon is a success and though the German troops have not taken Moscow, their forward elements have a foot in the suburbs of the Russian capital that resists as well as it can. The government of Stalin flees on the other side of the Oural and the resulting confusion ensures a solid grip on the positions that the Germans will hold all through the exceptionally harsh winter. The situation in the East appears quite promising for the year 1942, which will see the Germans on excellent starting basis. Strategical German Victory.

Final CGVP > 1 < 40: The heroic defense of the Russian 32nd Fusiliers Division and the exemplary sacrifice of Lenin's Cadets were not enough to stop the fascist invader! But he has been seriously weakened and despite this marginal victory, the Siberian troops are regrouping around the capital. The Germans will probably never reach Moscow.

Final CGVP > -39 < 1: Ach!… those "Untermensch" stopped our assault!…This is the first time we face a clever enemy, who knows how to move and shows a great fighting spirit (ndlr: hey! the guy hadn't read Laurent's article on the capture of Brest-Litovsk!…). This minor defeat costs us a lot of time and it will be difficult to achieve the objectives of Operation Typhoon now…A cautious advance should enable us to consolidate our winter positions and we will wait until next summer to capture Moscow. Russian Marginal Victory.

Final CGVP > -89 < -40: Workers, kolkhozian peasants, soldiers from the 32nd Fusiliers Division! The nazi hordes have been stopped dead at Yelnya; Lenin's Cadet school has literally broken the momentum of the invader. Carrying high the glorious name of our spiritual father! The walk on Moscow shall not be and we will not step back one meter more. More than ever, like at Borodino, we will defend our Mother, our Nation! Russian Strategical victory.

Final CGVP < -90: The great deeds of the 32nd Fusiliers Division are an example that is followed. The Das Reich has been annihilated and the Fürher in an access of rage and insanity dies of a brain attack. Meanwhile, during a headquarter meeting, Guderian and Hoepner meet Ivanova Loubianka Slipovitch (a syphilitic partisan disguised as a panienka…) and kill each other in a horrible duel of " bratwürst mit schnitzelln und sahne " for the favors of the lady. The two Panzergruppen of Army Group Center are beheaded and this is the end of the German army…Critical Russian victory.

That's it :)

Best,

X

I was not aware (or rather may have forgotten), that these five scenarios could be played as a mini-campaign.

In fact, I played three of these scenarios independently, with Yelnya Bridge and Lenin's Sons being good ones, while I cannot remember details of my two playings of Last Push to Mozhaisk.

What I did not realize up to now is that there are scenario IDs by FT and by MMP. I was only aware of the latter.

J102 = FT31 = Yelnya Bridge
J103 = FT32 = Lenin's Sons
J105 = FT35 = Last Push to Mozhaisk

Did MMP also feature that mini-CG?

You missed J104/FT 33 = Flanking Flamethrowers and J105/FT34 Borodino Train Station (both published in Journal 7)
FT 35 Last Push to Mozhaisk was published in Journal 8 as J115 not J105
But as with the original Market Garden Campaign from the 91, annual, when MMP republished those scenarios, they did not include the Linked scenario Mini-Campaign game. Shame really as it offers a different, unified approach to playing a bunch of scenarios.
