12a T-4D(g), T-4E(g), T-4F1(g), T-4F2(g), T-4H(g) & T-4J(g):
These represent various marks of Panzer IVs (German Vehicle Note 20, Note 21, Note 22, Note 23, Note 24 & Note 25) captured and re-used by the Red Army. The Panzer 4 was the second most captured and re-used tank that the Red Army re-purposed. For instance, in November 1943, the 213rd Tank Brigade had a nominal strength of 11 T-4, 35 T-3 but only 4 T-34. Even in the early days of the war, the 8 Mechanised Corp feratured 13 T-3 and T-4 vehicles.

18a T-5(g):
A surprising number of Panzer V (German Vehicle Note 27) were captured and repurposed by the Red Army. Although not in numbers sufficient to form battalions, they were employed more as tank destroyers than main battle tanks, a role in which they excelled. In August 1944, the 62 regiment of the 8th Guards Tank Corp employed 3 Panthers.while 4 were used by the 511th Tank regiment.

26a T-6(g):
As might be expected, the famed Tiger (German Vehicle Note 31) was used against it's creators, albeit in small numbers. The fact the vehicle was so heavy made it harder to withdraw when necessary and so several were captured, and although most were sent to rear areas for testing, 2 featured in the order of battle of the 28th Guards Tank Brigade in 1944 and 5 in the 51st Detached Motorcycle Regiment.

That's one Alan might need to answer.
I suspect it is the Latin transcription for the Russian terms for those animals.

I have a rudimentary knowledge of Russian and I'd say this is the case, transliteration of the actual Russian words for Tiger and Panther.

Where possible, this is the approach I tried to take.
