So I was unpacking from ASLOK today and filing all my new kit, including my copy of Crucible of Steel. And I was trying to integrate all my BFP stuff and the rules page series (singular or plural, I'm not sure) has gotten increasingly confusing. It looks like for the "Chapter B" green pages, it started as one series and now has split into two: HBR and Aircraft. But I'm not sure how it's all intended to fit together. Here's a detailed list of what I think came in each product (with a little help from Desperation Morale)...

**********

Into the Rubble
ITR HBRs, Page Numbers BFP 1 & BFP 2 (1 sheet), both in Chapter B Green, Rules Sections 1-10

Beyond the Beachhead 2
BtB HBRs, Page Number BFP 3 (1 sheet), in Chapter B Green, Rules Sections 1-6 (with errata for ItR and HoW on back)

Operation Cobra
1) Aircraft of Operation Cobra, Page Numbers BFP 4 & 5 (1 sheet), both in Chapter B Green, Rules Section 1 & Examples of Play
2) Operation Cobra Vehicle/Ordnance Notes, no page numbers, front & back of 1 sheet (Raketenwerfer on front, US vehicles on back), Chapter H Yellow

Blood & Jungle
1) Aircraft of Blood & Jungle, Page Numbers BFP 6-10 (3 sheets, back of final page blank), Rules Sections 1-4 & Examples of Play, Chapter B Green
2) Japanese Paratrooper Rules, Page Numbers BFP 1-2 (1 sheet front and back, though the back is blank), Rules Sections 1-5, Chapter G Green
3) Blood & Jungle Vehicle/Ordnance Notes, no page numbers (front and back of 14 sheets, back of final page blank), (4 pages US, 2 pages ANZAC, 8 pages Japanese, 2 pages Chinese, 4 pages KNIL, 1 page Thai, 2 pages Indonesian), Chapter H Yellow

High Ground 2
BFP Terrain Rules, Page Numbers BFP 1-4 (2 sheets), Rules Sections ITR 1-10, BtB 1-6, B&J 1, HG 1-2, Chapter B Green (this reprints all of the terrain rules from previous BFP products)

Crucible of Steel
1) CoS HBRs, Page Numbers BFP 5-8, Rules Sections 1-9 (two sheets, back of second page is errata, etc. for B&J), Chapter B Green
2) Aircraft of Kursk, Page Numbers BFP 11-16, Rules Section 8 & Examples of Play (3 sheets)
3) Crucible of Steel Vehicle Notes (front and back of 3 sheets), (4 pages German, 2 pages Russian), Chapter H Yellow

**********

I believe I have everything. I've never seen reference to anything I don't have. Though in the case of CoS, I'm not 100% sure. Should I have gotten a BFP 9&10 in CoS? I actually think not.

It looks like it all started as one series (Chapter B Green, BFP 1, 2, etc...) but now the Chapter B Green has been split into an HBR Series and an Aircraft Series, so that replacing the earlier HBRs with High Ground 2 reprints, there are three series of rules pages plus notes. This is based primarily on page numbers and feel, since I'm confused by the rules sections. Why CoS aircraft start at Section 8, for instance...

1) HBRs, pages BFP 1-4 in HG2, BFP 5-8 in CoS [Chapter B Green]
2) Aircraft, pages BFP 4-5 in OpCobra, BFP 6-10 in B&J, and BFP 11-15 in CoS (no BFP 1-3 in this series) [Chapter B Green]
3) Japanese Paratrooper Rules, pages BFP 1&2 in B&J [Chapter G Green]
4) Vehicle/Ordance Notes (not numbered, 2 pages (1 sheet) in OpCobra, 27 pages (14 sheets) in B&J, 6 pages (3 sheets) in CoS [Chapter H Yello]

Is that all correct? Any additional help or insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Into the Rubble
ITR HBRs, Page Numbers BFP 1 & BFP 2 (1 sheet), both in Chapter B Green, Rules Sections 1-10
Check.

Beyond the Beachhead 2
BtB HBRs, Page Number BFP 3 (1 sheet), in Chapter B Green, Rules Sections 1-6 (with errata for ItR and HoW on back)
Check.

Given the progression of how things have been laid out, the Aircraft rules in these pages should have started at 1. Hindsight being what it is. Starting with Cobra and all future packs, the aircraft, unique Infantry, and terrain rules will be split. Perhaps we will update all of the aircraft pages with a different color header and renumbering in the future, but for now they will maintain the Green header.

Blood & Jungle
1) Aircraft of Blood & Jungle, Page Numbers BFP 6-10 (3 sheets, back of final page blank), Rules Sections 1-4 & Examples of Play, Chapter B Green
2) Japanese Paratrooper Rules, Page Numbers BFP 1-2 (1 sheet front and back, though the back is blank), Rules Sections 1-5, Chapter G Green
3) Blood & Jungle Vehicle/Ordnance Notes, no page numbers (front and back of 14 sheets, back of final page blank), (4 pages US, 2 pages ANZAC, 8 pages Japanese, 2 pages Chinese, 4 pages KNIL, 1 page Thai, 2 pages Indonesian), Chapter H Yellow
1) We set this up to start after that last set of aircraft rules (since they are now tracking separately from terrain).
2) This is the start of doing a unique Infantry rules set where it makes sense to do them separate from the other rules. Expect the Allied Minors to add to this set of rules.
3) We don't have any page numbers for our Chapter H rules. At some point in the far future we will probably combine them together to make a consolidated Chapter H like the base system. Its just that right now there is so much vehicle/ordnance discovery, design, and variability going on that to say we know right now all of the vehicles we are ever going to use is just not possible.

High Ground 2
BFP Terrain Rules, Page Numbers BFP 1-4 (2 sheets), Rules Sections ITR 1-10, BtB 1-6, B&J 1, HG 1-2, Chapter B Green (this reprints all of the terrain rules from previous BFP products)
Expect the consolidation and condensing of the terrain rules to occur periodically with releases, as these will be the rules that will most likely apply in any future product. This will allow folks to be able to reference those prior rules without already possessing the earlier product.

**********)
1) This would start after the HG consolidated rules ending on page 4. Expect the CoS rules to begin in a future product on page 4 right after the HG rules to provide a single, seamless set of rules pages. We didn't do that for CoS as there were few rules from the prior set that were utilized for CoS.
2) These aircraft pages pick up right after the end of the B&J aircraft pages.
3) We don't have any page numbers for our Chapter H rules. At some point in the far future we will probably combine them together to make a consolidated Chapter H like the base system, but for now each set of Chapter H rules will be unique to each product they are associated with.

Yeah that should have started back at 1.

Thanks.

What you have grouped is correct.

A few comments. In general while we would love to establish an ever increasing set of section numbers (ie, not restarting at 1.0 each time) we don't have the luxury of knowing ahead of time what we will be producing, and what rules will be required to support that product that far out in the future. So any assumptions we make now will most assuredly be wrong. We can however continue the page numbering from the prior product as we produce additional rules pages to try and keep things as orderly as possible.

It is our intent with the terrain rules to add on to where we left off previously and try to make them as consolidated and continuous as possible, since they are the most likely candidate to be applied over any future products. Again, while I would love to go with ever increasing or predetermined set of rules section numbers, we just don't know for every product what every conceiveably rule will be. So we will have to continue to use the product nomenclature and start with Section 1 each time (e.g., BtB 1.0, HG1.0). We did not release a full set of terrain rules in CoS like we did in HG since very few of the previously released terrain rules applied to CoS. There is a constant pull between the expectation that folks have some of our prior products and making the products stand alone as much as possible. You'll notice that some of the Aircraft rules from B&J were repeated in CoS (specifically the Rockets).

Thanks for the reply, Rick.

This wasn't meant as a complaint, BTW. It's not perfect, clearly, but stuff happens. (Keeping the "Chapter H" stuff un-numbered makes sense to me, actually, since nationalities will get revisitied). I was just trying to get my head around it and figured if I was confused others would be too, so good to "get it out there." My main concern was just that I might have missed something. Sorted now. Thanks again.
