This SSR reads:
EC are moist....PTO Terrain is in effect [EXC: roads exist normall;Huts are wooden buildings except 32D1]

what does this mean?
32D1 is a two hex building with an outhouse.
does this mean that hex D1 is a hut amnd hex C1 a single hex wooden building?

Hexes with more than one building depiction are huts if PTO is in play.

So "Huts are wooden buildings except 32D1" means that huts are not in play except for the one in 32D1.

Single hex wooden buildings with more than one depiction are huts. D1 is part of a multihex wooden building although that hex does have an "outhouse". If it is a hut hex what of the neighbouring hex it shares a building with?

Hmmmm so D1 would not normally be a hut at all becasue it is part of a multi-hex building...

Now, I think I'm confused. (You see how little it takes.)

In the errata for B&J this is clarified.

"BFP 48: SBR 1 line 2. Replace “Huts are wooden buildings” with “Buildings are huts”." I missed this up in the posting, but it is correct in the sticky attachments.

So once the change is inserted the whole SBR should now read,

1. EC are Moist with a Mild Breeze from the southwest. PTO Terrain (G.1) is in effect [EXC: roads exist normally; Buildings are huts except 32D1]. The ½ MP road rate is NA for vehicles. Kindling is NA.

Thanks that makes more sense. It's not looking like my Americans are going to get close enough for this to make much of a difference!
