We got listening to 60s music here today. My favorite song from that era is "Gimme Shelter" by the Rolling Stones. Anyone else have a favorite song from those days? You don't need to be a geezer...maybe you heard it in your dad's collection -- or grandpa's.
"Paint it Black"! It also became the theme for Tour of Duty TV series. Can't remember that far back. I liked the Jimi Hendriks stuff too. Moody Blues was cool too!

Too true, the one downside to the game is that you can hear how close you are to other people.

you know,if you took a ten year slice of time.64' to 74' would probably have more musical talent crammed into it than any other decade.that does'nt mean i have'nt enjoyed the other years{i have},but there was something magical going on in these years. those of you that were'nt there won't know what i'm talking about.those of you that were, well,i'd like to see another music explosion like that again!

Terry I agree. I cant really get into the music of today. This stuff they call rock is garbage. There will never be another era as this. Some of the most memorable songs have come out of this time period. I am 24yrs old and love it

i have to wonder.all the great talent that is still alive, and out there.do they not have any more songs to write?myself,i am an artist,i have never reached a point where nothing comes to mind on what to draw.i don't know about musicions,do you reach a time when the music stops?if so that is sad,if not lets hear it.

I love the modern heavy metal, but sometimes need a break.

I recently got a WAV of Donavan and Jimmy Page doing Hurdy Gurdy Man. What a great tune. Also have a lot of Cream, Blind Faith, etc. Have recently (didn't have it then) developed a taste for the Mamas and Papas -- Mama Cass could really sing!
