Hi,

Just wanted to confirm that there's no 'advantages' firing a bazooka in point-blank-fire.
No doubling of fire-power as they're using HE Equiv. (instead of IFE), and no range DRM (Case L in full ASL ) as I suspect this is 'built-in' the BAZ to hit table.

Am I doing this correctly?

Thanks!

Thanks for the confirmations, much appreciated!

So much preparedness for my first stroll with a bazooka, and then I rolled an 11 on my first shot. Ah! :)

In some respects that is better than rolling eyes. Initial success can be misleading as to the potency of a weapon or action. A painful lesson learned early on in SL.

If it was a hit (at 1 hex range I think it is), you would still resolve it.

The advantage is a better TH#.
IIRC, all LATWs (bazookas, panzerfausts, panzerschrecks, piats, etc. ) have a progressive to hit chart. So, shooting from one hex away is more likely to hit than shooting from two hexes, etc.

I once had two SS squads each armed with panzerschrecks that came onto the board adjacent to a two hex building full of Brits. Each fired and malfunctioned. On the subsequent repair rolls, each rolled a six.

Oh well . . .

That was my point.

You cannot repair a PSK.
It has X10 which means outright elimination if 10+ is rolled.

Thanks--it's been a long time.

And that's why you have to consider the risks involved in using these things.
