Greetings to the council,

When firing a BAZ45 into a 2 story Stone Building with broken units on the ground level, do I include the +3 TEM as a TH DRM?
I believe not, but as LATW can't use ATT how do I know?

When a BAZ is shooting WP it uses its usual TH Table.

Q&A
C13.42 If using a BAZ45 to fire WP, does the
target's TEM apply both to the TH DR and to any
resulting WP MC?
A. No – in this case it applies only to the WP MC. [An93b; An96]

Not sure if this Q&A is coded into the 2nd Edition rules though.

Klas,
NRBH but would the baz 45 get the -2 on the TH table for firing SMOKE at less than 12 hexes?
I know SW mortars get that TH benefit when using area fire for SMOKE, but not sure on LATW firing SMOKE when using their own TH table.

No, that applies to the C3 TH Table. The BAZ uses its own TH Table. And to be even clearer, it is not a -2 DRM, but a modification of the Basic TH Number (e.g. the basic TH # of an ATT shot at 7-12 hexes is 7, but is modified to 9 when firing SMOKE)

What Brian wrote. Here is the rule.

C4.4 SMOKE: Ordnance using the C3 To Hit Table to fire SMOKE at ≤ 12 hexes must add two to its Basic TH#.

Just to be technical, the modifier you are referring to is a +2 adjustment to a weapon's TH#, not a -2 DRM.

A Bazooka does not get this since it uses its own TH table (not the C3 table):

4.4 SMOKE: Ordnance using the C3 To Hit Table to fire SMOKE at ≤ 12 hexes must add two to its Basic TH#.

Very interesting. This did not occur to me until now.

I think that Q&A comes from an exchange I had with Patrik Manlig back in the old ASLML days, although it's been 22 years or so ago. It didn't make sense to me to apply the TEM to both the TH DR and the MC DR. No double dipping!
