The small new battleset Hugo's Folly is now complete.
I built it to see if Netherlands could perform a Falklands-like mission with the limited but high quality forces it has against an opponent who is modernising especially its air force.
In scen#1, Venezuela attacks the Dutch ABC islands. This scen was designed by Herman and the challenge for NL is to escape from the islands against overwhelming odds.
In scen #2, Venezuela tried to attack the last long runway Netherlands has (on St Maarten) which they will need to base F16s and perform a Falklands-like counterinvasion.
In scen#3, Netherlands is building up its forces and carrying out a daring special forces raid on Venezuela
In scen#4, Netherlands performs the expected counterinvasion
The scens are suitable for 3.6 and ANW (though works a little different in ANW). Duration is 12 hours for each scen to also enable ANW Multi-play. All scens have been play-tested and should be reasonably balanced.
The battleset could also be suitable for a Matchplay-like tournament where each successive scen is modified to only contain the surviving units of the previous scens.
