Played TAC47 Roses For Vandervoort. Lots of bocage overlays. By SSR, gaps in the bocage are treated as Breaches.

I'm having a hard time with the last line of B9.541. (...but the Breach has no other effect on bocage rules.) Does this mean that there is no LOS past the Bocage hex, even if you are firing through the open gap?

It would also raise questions regarding non-assault movement behind the bocage.

A breach per B9.541 is not the same a a gap. So when the SSR says the gaps are breaches, B9.541 applies - not the rules for gaps.

Basically I think one could treat the gaps as non-existent, so I think the TEM would apply to units moving behind them. LOS through the gap, on that I am less certain, but I think the intent is that such LOS is blocked.

"The openings through the bocage are treated as Breaches (B9.541)."
