The above illustration shows a Pontoon Bridge (B6.41).

The rules state:

Only pontoon bridges, which are always at water level, permit exit/entry of a bridge through a non-road hexside without Scaling, Swimming, Fording, or Boating. Infantry may enter/exit a pontoon bridge as if it were Open Ground. Units may not move beneath a pontoon bridge. Pontoon bridge 5/8" counters are considered One-Lane vehicular bridges with unlimited weight capacity.

Now, the obvious and most likely intended way of the rule to be understood would be that entry to the Pontoon Bridge in question must be made via S7 or Q8.

However, does the wording of the rule actually state this?
In other words, could the Pontoon Bridge be entered via any of Q8, R6, S7, or S8?

from the q&a:
B6.31
Pontoon bridges are as indicated in the image. May a vehicle go directly from O4 to/from the pontoon bridge or does it need to use the road? If so, what is the cost? May an infantry unit go from O4 to/from the pontoon bridge or does it need to use the road?
A. In both cases, units can move directly to/from O4.

Yes. I believe we've had a thread on this a while back (just too lazy to try and find it).

Spot on!

I thought I remembered something like this not too long ago. This was the exact post I was thinking of.

Thank you!
