While running searches in the ASL Scenario Archive related to the thread on June 6, 1944 scenarios, I ran across a handful of scenarios from a source called "Assurbanipal." That source is not mentioned on Desperation Morale and searching on-line doesn't turn up anything promising. It's mentioned in a handful of threads here, but without any explanation as to what it was.

I have a few of their scenarios in digits.

JW1 - JW4 (in English) and JW10 (in French).

Assurbanipal was an Assyrian king. Why someone would name an ASL "digest" after him would be interesting. Several of the scenarios were Jamie Westlake's, so maybe one of our friends down under can enlighten us?

You can post them in the download section :D
If they are not too big, yes. However, GS has a SEVERE restriction on file size for U/L. This would prohibit any large files for scanned scens from being uploaded as well.

If they are too big ( a la the AK2 and AK3 pdf's); the only real solution is something like Google Drive or Dropbox.

Maybe with some loss of quality, one could simply do a screenshot, paste into IrfanView or some simple graphics tool. Just about all these tools should give the opportunity to adjust the quality and thus file size.

Here is where I think they came from:

The name is where the location is......

Ass - we all know this location.

urban - a city somewhere.... Like "Oz".....

i - the scenario designer

pal - a friend of the scenario designer......

Soooooooo, this is where they might be from;

Someone who designed scenarios with a friend that lives in a city got the "*ss" at him, so he published the scenarios without disclosing the secret city (Oz) location.......

That's my best guestimate......

That is so bizarre that it just might be the truth...

At ASLOK this year they brought out Fish Conner's ASL stuff and gave it away. I pulled JW3-JW10 out of the pile as Fish had somebody translating them and he was lining them up for his next issue of In Contact (that never happened). I was also looking for info on who produced these in France but all I found was this thread. I guess the mystery continues.

When I was working on the French products section of my website I tried to find out the origin of those scenarios, and even asked on the French ASL forum, but IIRC, I never did find out.
