Mike, what time? Sunday is the picnic which is only a few minutes from Hopkins. There will be many rides back to the hotel from the picnic from those attending and I am sure you could hook up with one of them.
I will have my car, so no problem. Your place is in my GPS. 😊

Pre-Reg count is up to 80 as of 9/1. We're 18 ahead of last year's pace through August. We're also just shy of the typical average (and Median) of 81 over the years I've been running it. Historically that pace yields an average attendance of 146 (median 145) - hopefully we can maintain the pace and have a solid bounce back year attendance wise to pre-pandemic numbers. So far so good at least...

Sunday 9/17 is my goal for having the mini lists ready.
T-Shirt order will likely go in sometime the week of 9/11, although I can still adjust numbers for a while after that - but if you definitely want a T, look to order by then to ensure sizing. Shirt will be yellow with a Japanese style.

I only live 40 min away so I'll most likely commute every day. I'm planning on coming early Saturday 30 Sep but if it looks like there are enough early arrivals Friday the 29th or even earlier, my schedule is pretty open and I can come up any day. One of the perks of being retired!

I'm just getting back into ASL and just stumbled across this. I'm about 10 minutes away from this venue. Is there any room for new players?
Please don't pass up this opportunity to attend a great ASL event. You won't regret it I am sure!

New players have always been welcomed. That's the whole purpose of ASLOk.🤗

plenty of room for new players. You will have a blast. Plus I think there is a player who lives in Streetsboro who was at last years Aslok
Well said! Oktoberfest has always been about getting people together to play. Don't let any qualms you may have about attending an event stop you from attending. The experience and contacts you make are what makes events so special. Good luck and good gunnin to all you who attend events, ftf or online.

New players are more than welcome - definitely at least stop by when you can. Hopefully you can carve out a few days to dive in and play a lot. That's by far the best way to learn. "Wild" Bill also offers Maneuvers as an instruction option for both new players and those that want to brush up on some esoteric rules. But there are lots of folks more than happy to teach a newer player or someone getting back into the game. Plus we can introduce you to some of the locals...

This will be my third year there, and I still consider myself a new player. On my first visit two years ago, I had just moved up from SK to the full game and was completely out of my league. But all my opponents were kind and patient, and I had a fantastic time.
