SoCal Melee pack
That's still a big "maybe" at this point...we still have one more scenario to wrap up.

It's taken us a long time to get MPIII out because, to be quite honest, we were all pretty burnt out after we finished MPII. We've also had a few breaks due to additional PT burnout. Keep in mind that we are the only TPP that does not "profit" in the traditional sense (i.e. money in someone's pocket)...100% of the money from the sale of the packs goes into the club's account. Without any monetary incentive, it's hard to keep the motivation level and momentum going. Add in the real-life interruptions of people changing jobs, relocating, birth of children, etc.

Bottom line is we are getting close...very close...but we can not promise any dates yet.

Semper Fi!

Man you'd think access to the SoCal club jet and weekend villa would be enough incentive to keep things jumping playtest wise.

What? You guys spent it ALL on beer instead? Does that really help the playtesting? :toast:

Here it is:

It will come in the LFT # 11 issue early January.

Cheers,

Hi, Xavier! Oooh, yeah, France 1940. I like the new map, it will be great for Normandy '44 as well :cool::smoke::toast:. Hmm, would this map join together with others to create-- St. Valery-en-Caux, where Rommel bagged the British 51st Highland Division? Sorry, I'm not trying to drag any more details out of you ;):cheeky::laugh:!! Oh, well, maybe a little... :halo:!

Hi there;

Not really... it's coming with a tiny landing scenario, in preparation for LFT # 12 which will contain some more meaty PTO stuff (hey, this is for you Pitman! :joy:).

About the other project which should be released in 2008, around June or July, I don't want to write anything yet b/c we are still working on LFT # 11 _AND_ we don't want to promise something that we are not sure (yet) we will be able to do. So we just need a couple of months to make everything sure, and then we will update our website and give some information here. Hope you understand our policy :)

Cheers!

Hi,

Something different in LFT # 11. No overlay, no counters... but I think you can call it a goodie, yes... ;) Some people could see it at ASLOK.

This one will be 95 % in English. Only 1 page or so is in French, all the rest is in English.

Thanks for the kind words, I hope you will like LFT # 11 as well :)

Cheers

Very exciting, can't wait to see it. I picked up #8 Normandy at NY tourney and really wanted to read all those reviews. Do you guys ever consider re-publishing some stuff from back issues in English? Your product quality has sky rocketed from #8 to #10. Keep up the great work.:)

Sorry guys if I sound a little bit pessimistic, but I think that all this NEW Scenario packs are not really neccessary. Nothing against the efforts of the designers, but scenario Packs are in times where we have more then 2600 Scenarios not really a step forward. New Scenarios will become available through the journals or LFT magazin. No need for Scenario packs. Just my 50 cent!

Saying this I must really applaud Xavier and LFT to come up with something what makes more sense then a "stupid" (sorry for the harsh word) Scenario Pack.

So for me the highlights in the next year will be VOTG, LFT 11, any Journal and probably the new Crete modul from HOB.

Hi-

Have you checked out my Back in Black SS pack? It is just not another pack of scenarios, it will include the SS order of battle along with rare vehicles used by the SS including vehicle notes.

http://forums.gamesquad.com/showthread.php?t=71200&highlight=back+black

So to me, this is not just another pack of scenarios but something way more and with substance.

If CH doesn't ship it before Xmas of this year, then Toktong will ship shortly after the New Year. I know of at least three others for '08:

The Spanish Legion Pack - Blue Division near Novgorod, 1941;

(Unnamed) Omaha Beach module.

Total Axis Pack 2.

What about all the threats of litigation from MMP over the copied counters?
I agree.

Scott, I'd hate to see all your hard work get tied up over the counter art, but having looked at the counters, yeah, there are minor differences, like how the lettering that skirts the square turret symbols actually "reverse" (becomes black on white). But you'd be hard-pressed to say that the counters are nothing like MMP's ... especially when you said, in your own post, that you're using AH artwork.

Seriously, do you really wanna go mano a mano with MMP over the artwork?

I know we've clashed in the past, but I think if you've put all the research and work into this pack, you'd not want to be receiving any nasty-grams from anyone over the artwork. I know I wouldn't.

If you want to take your chances, knock yourself out. Just offering some friendly advice ... it's worth what you think it's worth.

Brien
