Just started to wonder...
How many perfectionists or even patients of anankastic personalities or for americans obsessive-compulsive personality disorder are among us.

The wars about what is the best and the only way for organize are straight from the list of the symptoms of anankastic personality disorder.

How many of us just have to have everything published (by MMP) about ASL?

ps.
I got diagnosed anankastic this spring. And now I know why I've got to have all MMP ASL products... Is anybody selling WoA perhaps (in an reasonable price for a student)...

Believe the bottom line should be No way, I'm sane. A world of difference a comma makes.

The last one should mean: no problems in sanity :)

I own all the core modules back to Beyond Valor. I have pretty much all I need except for the updated rulebook and AOO. After I get these, I'll be picky about what I buy.

I don't intend to own all the historical modules.

Gotta have the set, one of everything or my life loses purpose. :D

Edit: This applies to the 'official' material. TPPs I pick and choose.

Bad typing day today.

During last two hours I've made 5 typos in the net and all of them are in places where they cannot be fixed.

Compulsive?

I would need something else in my life, such that I could ignore it, such that I could be blamed for obsessing over ASL in the first place correct?

Last night I started to prepare my game gear for the Grenadier Tourney. ...reconned some counters weren't clipped...
...got into a frenzy and clipped like hell....
...some of my AFV/Ordnance matchboxes weren't in the correct order....
...got into a frenzy to sort them all by Chapter H Notes number....
...felt better for a tiny moment...
...and then I thought:

OMG! You're almost like that Monk guy in the TV series!
:D

I love it

For me, it's somewhat relative. My desk is slightly messy, my car has some gear that can be cleaned up (cycling gear but in giant plastic containers, hmm... a pattern). However, my ASL gear is neatly organized, in containers and binders. It does bother me when my binders of scenarios are missing some from the sequence (don't worry, not lost, just haven't obtained yet), and clearly any normal person would be bothered by having counters that should be separated mixed together. That's why I have the chart inside each container lid. But I don't have a problem... I can stop this habit anytime I want.

Shit, I'm about the messiest guy there is. There isn't much that is anal retentive about me. But when I decide to collect something, I get a little compulsive. I like to have it all.

Well, I think I'm normal. :D My wife on the other hand would put me in a different catagory. After ASLOK, my wife would include all of you :crosseye:

I have every thing AH/MMP has put out and 3/4 of the TTP's available. :cheeky: It doesn't mean I get to play them all though

Just my crazy two cents

>But when I decide to collect something, I get a little compulsive. I like to have it all.

I was that way when I first starting playing ASL. Had to have ALL the scenarios plus they needed to be in sheet protectors and binders. I had subscriptions to all the zines; On All Fronts, At the Point, Rout Report, Scenarios for Wargamers (a few good ASL scenarios), ASLUG Newsletter, ASL News, etc. I had doubles of all the modules and Annuals.

Now I'm less complusive about scenarios. I only have singles of the Journals and latest historical modules. I haven't copied Journal #4 and #5 scenarios and put them in binders yet. I just ordered Schwerpunkt #9 when I ordered #10. I haven't got around to ordering Le France Tireur #8 or HoB's Recon in Force #2.

I still buy every product from MMP, Heat of Battle and Schwerpunkt, but I don't rush out and buy them immediately.

I guess I qualify in the category 'Mellowing with age'.
