Can't stand that movie. MP40s with unlimited ammo. How did the Germans ever lose with a weapon like that?
A key factor in their defeat in the war was the apparently constant tendency of their sentries to walk around their posts with weapons shouldered, and their backs to the stealthy allied commandos who would inevitably approach unnoticed from behind to slit their throats.
Of course the final decisive defeat of the Wehrmacht occurred when a handful of Americans rolled all of those fuel barrels down the hill on to the panzers during the final stages of the Battle of the Bulge.

I am hoping for a scenario covering the only submarine attack on a train.

It was also the only time armed Americans attacked the Japanese home islands on the ground. The Japanese surrender precluded the full scale invasion of Kyushu and Honshu.

Too true. The Mark XIV torpedo (developed in peacetime) had three major flaws:
1. Ran too deep with live warhead (dummy warhead used in trials)
2. Magnetic exploder too finicky in real conditions {maybe yes, maybe NO}
3. Contact exploder too fragile in combat conditions (90 degree hit very iffy, glancing shot so-so}

Pfffffft! That wasn't anything. Check out Where Eagles Dare. Changing out MP40 clips is only a plot device that happens every 2k rounds or so....and all those handy little trip wire bombs that they had to have another REALLY BIG BAG to carry all of them.

The music wuz stirring, and some classy mountain flying footage on the opening credits.

Three (four?) words: Blondes with automatic weapons....

At least they kept close to the book's plot. Some movies 'based' on an author's book stray very far from the
original story.
