Is there a limit on how many infantry units can armored assault with one AFV?

They can overstack.
But it will generate the penalties of overstacking.

No, although more than 3 squad equivalents would cause overstacking penalties to apply.

Hi Mongo, in support of previous replies, go back a couple months ago to my earlier thread on this topic in which we explored this in depth and I got taught. No limit, but over stacking is punishing. I was thinking anything more than one MMC should be punishing. Cheers

More than a MMC remains punishing as moving in stacks often is not a good idea.
In open ground, armored assault (with infantry not using assault movement) offers 0 DRM vs Defensive First Fire. Not the best cover to move in harm's way - but of course, if you don't have better choice...
