I am just about to embark on the first scenario from Hakka Paalle which features two ancient ART guns in the Finnish OB which the Russians want to try to reach. SSR3 says, "...ART guns may set up emplaced but may not start the scenario hidden/concealed..."

1. Given that the guns will set up out of the NVR of Russian units, does this mean that they cannot gain concealment after both sides have set upset up per A12.34?
2. Assuming that this is the case, can they gain concealment at the end of a subsequent CCPh?
3. If not, can they be pushed to a different hex and gain concealment there?

It just says the can't start the scenario concealed....so they can gain Concealment later as usual.....

That's a good request for clarification. There is no "start of scenario" defined in either the ASOP or index, so "start" could be interpreted as "the start of the first Game Turn" or "the start of the Pre-Game sequence". I'd assume it meant "the start of the first Game Turn" myself, and the Guns could gain concealment in the first Finnish CCPh.

Set up happens before the start of the scenario, so it would occur at the earliest at the end of the first Finnish CCPh....

The Finns have no OB-given "?" and the Night rule of setting up Concealed "for free" is NA. So it would be a pretty meaningless SSR if it meant it could gain "?" after setup - since that's what the normal rules says.
