Looking for clarification; SSR 3 states "Free French are Stealthy (A11.17) and may initiate Hand-to-Hand CC (J2.31) as if Gurkha (A25.43)."

Do the Free French receive the -1 CC DRM as if Gurkha as well or just the ability to declare H-t-H?

It looks that way to me when I read A25.43.

I guess it is only what is written = they may initiate HtH as if Gurkha / and nothing else.

I agree.
Otherwise, the SSR would have : "They are treated as Gurkhas relating to CC."

Ask the scenario designer. He's on here fairly regularly.

Otherwise, the SSR would have : "They are treated as Gurkhas relating to CC."

Why mention Gurkhas at all in that case? Why not just say that they can initiate hand to hand CC? The fact that Gurkhas are mentioned suggests to me that the French Free get the same favourable modifier.

Maybe because Gurkhas can initiate HtH CC as the DEFENDER when they get Ambush - per the normal HtH rules you can't do that.
