AP32 - Second Crack at Caumont AAR

We are now caught up on our video AARs! Whew!

Seven days after the invasion of Normandy the Big Red One (1st Infantry Division) spearheads inland and push into the French town of Caumont. After initially securing much of the town, they are met with heavy resistance and must pull back. The next morning the American forces are bolstered by Sherman tanks, and they give Caumont a second crack...

Don't forget to use the smoke ammunition and smoke dispensers on American Shermans. They can mess with defenders LOS and help your infantry close..

Good point...not to mention all the infantry smoke grenades. I tried to train myself by doing the following:
every time I finished moving a squad, if it had 1 MF left, I'd have the squad try for smoke in his own hex.
Of course, that meant any followup units would pay an extra 1MF...It backfired (of course).

Don't forget you can convert 1/2" dummies to 5/8" dummies--a dummy JgPz is often more useful than an dummy squad.
