Anyone good with Maya???

basically i have a problem, for something for uni i need to make a plane curved but have no idea how to do it and neither does my teacher!!

Also on a different subject but just out of intrest anyone good with Lightwave?

(sorry for hijacking thread but do you know of any free trials for Maya I have been searching for so long looking for a trial of it. )

Do you mean like just making the plane curved in shape? Couldnt you just do it by adjusting the vertices etc or using NERBS (spl?) ? Not sure if 3DSmax is similar, if im wrong ignore me XD

theres a free learning edition you can download for free if all you want to do is learn it, however you cant produce anything without having a water mark over it and if you save it you cant use it in the real version of Maya if you get it.

and you i think you have the idea, rounded like you see some peoples sigs where the corner is rounded.

I try editing the vertices but it was going well, not sure what or how to use NERBS either, i think 3D Max is similer but not really sure about it
