Are there any book stores in Amsterdam that have a good WW2 selection?

Yes, but they only carry books printed on hemp paper so you cannot bring them into the USA.

I had completely forgotten about that aspect of Amsterdam.

If i was visiting Amsterdam, I do not think that i would be able to get any reading done... :)

I don't live in Amsterdam, but many people seem to like the American Book Center: http://www.abc.nl/index.php

Can't remember how much they have on history (in general) or WW2 (specifically), but it's probably worth checking out.

I would say the ABC as well but aren't sure about their history section as well.

Other than the ABC I'm not familiar with book stores in Amsterdam.

ABC is a must :)

And right across the Spur is a Waterston's bookshop. But they are not as good as they used to be

The New English Bookstore at the Kalverstraat might be a good place to visit. They sell some WWII books for a nice price.
