I see that there is an ATR in the American counter mix. What is this and when was it used historically? When should a US scenario include ATRs as opposed to BAZ?

US Para Marine and Marine Raider units used them in the Solomons (Guadalcanal?) in the period 8/42 - 43. See also the Chapter H notes, somewhere in the landing craft section, I think.

Edit - see Chapter H, page H112. Also, Annual 93b has an article on Marine Defense, Para and Raider battalions as well as Scout-Sniper Detachments.

It was a Boys 0.55-inch Mk I ATR. A highly exported British version to France, China, and the USA.

According to the 93b Annual, one was used in a raid by Carlson's Raiders to destroy a seaplane.
