Hi

A concealed enemy infantry units assault moves into a plowed field containing a FH. The MF cost is 1.5 for plowed field and 1 for entrance of FH.

  1. First MF - is ? lost due to moving in OG. I think not?
  2. first MF if fired upon will the modifier be -1 or +2
  3. If not +2 in Q2 can the unit be fired upon a secondary time in OG on the 1/2 MF of plowed field expense?
  4. If broken on first (and possibly the second (half) MF will the squad be hit by any residual FP from the preceding shot. What is modifier then?

  1. Yes - "?" will be lost, since you are assault moving in Open Ground [EXC: winter camo, possibly something else].
  2. -1.
  3. No.
  4. Any residual FP left by an attack on entering, will attack the unit as it goes beneath the foxhole, DRM would be +2 for the foxhole.
Remember that this is not a combined move action. Declare AM, enter hex (possibly DFF), and then you declare you are going beneath the foxhole.

4. Except if he breaks on entering the hex, he can't move into the foxhole in movement to be hit by the residual.

Also, if the unit breaks on the MF to enter the open ground hex, it is no longer assault moving, so a subsequent shot on that same MF gets the FFNAM -1 as well as the FFMO -1.
