    Hmmm,

To demonstrate this, Sultan explained that the concept of Waqf in Islam means “whatever Islam can take over and own is reserved solely for Muslims. One of the goals of Waqf is to destroy churches.” She said that the destruction of Christian churches carried out by the Islamic State had been an example."

It's lucky that Islam has not held sway in the middle East for long otherwise all those churches throughout Turkey, Syria The Lebanon would have been destroyed by now.

Thanks, that's very comforting. Did you know in some Muslim countries they cut the clitoris' off little girls? What did the ****ing Sultan say about that?

Google Hagia Sofia, or any of the hundreds of churches that are now mosques throughout Spain...or the Temple Mount.

Yep - the salient word is - " Takeover". The entire Middle east was once zoroastrian - pagan ,christian whatever.Turkey was the Christian Byzantine Empire which was taken over by the peaceful ones. They takeover everything or try to and we Christians are the shits for going to protect our brethren in the Crusades.

I was just thinking about Spain and it's centuries long conflict with the peaceful ones, and what won it for them , was their unbridled faith. They pushed the moors out of Christian Europe. Same thing with the Polaks who pushed out the peaceful ones from Europe in 1683 and saved Christendom and all our European butts. They also had unbridled faith.
They fought to protect their way of life, their women and children and their future.

Come forward to the present day , and every attempt is made by the leftist progressive liberals to destroy the element of family unity - homosexual marriage - transgenderism - divorce rates , the list is endless and Christianity is being rubbed out of the Education system for Multi-cultural sensitivity; it's freakin insane....

Here is a piece of Cultural sensitivity practised by Islam in Egypt which was once Coptic Christian - wonder what happened to these millions over the centuries.............

    Coptic Flag............Egypt

Three years ago this month, the Egyptian Christian community was devastated by a two-day wave of attacks mobilized by affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood that left many churches, Christian schools, Christian bookstores, and homes in ruins and flames. On August 15, 2013, the strong smell of the smoke that still curled above charred buildings hung heavily in the air as many Christians walked in disbelief through the ruins of their homes, churches, and Christian bookstores, overwhelmed with despair and agony over their great loss. Broken church benches, destroyed musical instruments and burned Bibles lay strewn across the floor in church buildings. The furious attackers finally left after they shouted victory having pulled the cross down from the church’s steeple with a devastating crash. The attackers also left behind the ashes of hatred and brutality, not of their own making, but of the authorities of darkness.

At the time, many Christians then saw Al-Sisi as the savior who would rescue Egypt (Christians) from the iron grip of Muslim Brotherhood, Salafists and radical Islam in general. In some ways he fulfilled that role. However, as head of the army, he was not able to provide protection for the Christians from their attackers, and he remains unable to do so as President. Two years after Al-Sisi was sworn into office, attacks by radical Muslims continue to frequently hit Christians and churches. There has never been any assurance along the way for Christians that a particular government or administration would be zealous to provide protection for them or work for their well-being. Mistaken is the one who puts his/her hope in people. It is only the Lord, our God who can bestow on us a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

They also cut the clitoris' of British girls - female genital mutilation. That's funny - I never knew that English, scottish and Welsh girls had their genitals cut.
British people do not do that.
About 500 British nationals have gone to fight for Islamic State - I never knew that English, Scottish and Welsh people were so Islamized.
Putting in newspapers that Muslims who are given citizenship and are committing treason is not culturally sensitive or politically correct.

Leftist Political correctness is going nuts and it hates Christendom as much as the peaceful ones.......Destroy the family, destroy Nationalism and marginalise the Christian faith.

Christian Cathedrals , village churches and traditions are beautiful. The heritage and history is ours, some of it flawed, but we have a good, not in your face modern model, which allows others to co-exist.

Islam in control in sufficient numbers will not allow this..............

We can only wait for the next horror in the west as Christendom slowly rots from within and is attacked from the alliance of Globalist leftists and radical Islam and we have a spineless Pope , who is a HERETIC of Medieval proportions.

As an aside , as a kid ,the film ' El Cid ' was very inspirational - loved it to pieces..............difficult to put into words - just wanted to be him. Ol' Chuck never looked out of place in a Medieval or Roman epic but looked a bit wierd in normal clothes during interviews in the modern age.

Thanks Chuck for giving us a screen hero to look up to and inspire........

You do not need to study Islam to know the truth of it - just watch this clip..........:D

Europe was one pagan too. The Americas had their own form of non-Abrahamic religions as well. Today, not so much. I am not sure you want to make that comparison but to each his own. -- jim

Hey Jim, how about moving to a "muslim" nation or controlled area and explaining to them how you "question" god...see how that works out for you...compared to how it works out for you now, in the USA or in Europe...or any other western culture nation.

Thankfully, religion has lost its stranglehold on the west...go back just a few short decades and you could find many places in the west where questioning the predominant religion would get you physically harmed and/or financially and socially ruined. A century or two ago it could get you dead.

Pushing back the dark ages and shining the light of reason on ignorance is why the west will prevail.

If there is no God why do you need "reason"...just let the laws of nature prevail. Just look at any atheist ruled nation in history and you get the picture.

If we lived 1200 years ago you might have a point...but we don't and so you don't. I live in the today for a God who lives today.

Atheist have proven to be just as ignorant as people of faith...perhaps more so.

PS - Reason is based on moral principles that don't exist without God.

Even "progressive" Muslims believe in Sharia law...said law being diametrically opposed to everything anyone would consider human/humanity.

    C'mon people.

The terrorists simply cherry pick parts of the Quran to justify their evil ways against all non-Mulsims (and even some Muslims) and then non-Muslims then cherry pick the same parts of the Quran to justify that all Muslims are evil.

    Be better than that.

    Five minutes googling.........

    https://www.quora.com/Do-Muslims-respect-people-who-follow-other-religions

Now, I'm no learned scholar, but that pretty clearly says to me the complete opposite.

That's also my understanding speaking to Muslim friends and work colleagues.

If we are going to resort to cherry picking religious scripture to justify evil ways, the bible also has some real doozies. No need to read them in context, just cherry pick and away you go raping, killing, torturing, burning etc. The bible says so, so it must be OK?

The Quran and Sharia Law are not exactly the same thing. Even so, the Jihadists and a majority of muslims do agree on a whole lot...a couple of examples being homosexuality and the status of women. There are many others.

BTW, the Quran specifically direct the faithful to deceive and lie to infidels...so much for your friends and colleagues. Historically, as long as Islam is a minority it is a religion of peace...once it becomes a majority, not so much.
