Hi all:

ASL 248

SSR: The Siamese receive Air Support (E7) in the form of a 39´FB without bombs, which arrive automatically on Turn 4
Do the Siamese roll for Air support on turns 2 and 3? (E7.2) I think so, but nort sure...

TIA

Doesn't sound like it to me. Sounds like they get it on Turn 4. Period.

It looks as if you dont have to roll after turn 4, that turn you get it.

I think many scenario designers don’t see the problems the average player gets when we play their scenarios... and MMP IS good.

Yes, it would automatically be available every Turn thereafter as well.

"Arrive on Turn 4" trumps the usual dr for Air support entry until < turn number
"Automatically" means no dr.
The FB remains in play normally after turn 4, until recalled or shot down.
I see no ambiguity or difficulty to apply that SSR.

Happy you!! I do see it. Anyway, there are now two readings against mine... but I think there could be another wording.

Thx to all

When that appears as an SSR, it means it shows up on Turn 4. When that is not the case, the SSR will state rolls for entry per..........

A lot of times in more current scenarios, there is a statement as to when they must leave. If no such statement exists however, they are present for the duration or until shot down/ recalled.

Here is an SSR that just determines what type of Aircraft arrives. That one rolls per the Chapter E rules is then assumed.
In scenario 82 it just says:
"3. The Germans receive Air Support (E7.) in the form of one ‘39 FB with no bombs."

Ok, thx everybody.

Its a relief that everybody sees it the same way. I had my doubts... if you look at BFP OtO-11, Tooth and Nail, the air support entry SSR says: “The russians receive Air support... ..if not received already it automatically arrives on turn 6”. There clearly says you have to roll before turn of automatic entry.

I will play it WO roll until turn 4, and then they arrive automatically.
