Can this AFV in bypass move directly on the bridge hex?

No. In order to enter the bridge it must cross the road hexside, the R4/S5 hexside [B6.4]. The vehicle is in hex R5, in bypass of the obstacle, so if it entered S5 it would cross the R5/S5 hexside.

If there had been a bypassable obstacle in R4 also, we would have to know which obstacle the unit had been in bypass of to decide. If S5 is a pontoon bridge, then yes [B6.41].

I would say no. As per B6.4 "entrance of/exit from a bridge location can occur only by crossing a road hexside on that bridge.."

in the example given, this would mean the AFV must enter the bridge by crossing the R4-S5 road hexside. If it is in bypass of the R5 building, it is considered to be in hex R5.

So a move from bypass in R5 to S5 would not be crossing the road hexside and so is NA, IMHO
