HI,

Can a MMC carrying a mantled 50mm Mtr advance into a rubble hex?

A4.72 (advance vs difficult terrain) says that 'An advance into any hex whose FM cost (exc smoke) is >= 4 or all of a units available non double time MF allotment ( whichever is less) may not be made if the unit is already CX otherwise it may advance but becomes CX in the process.

In this instance the MMC has 2 MF as the Mtr is 5PP thus 4-2 = 2MF remaining. Therefore we think that the unit cannot advance into the rubble 3MF's as to advance requires more than the units remaining MF's - is this correct or can it and it becomes CX?

Regards

Simon

Simon,
Yes it may advance and then it becomes CX. It can even retain concealment doing this.
If already CX it may not advance vs difficult terrain (with the exception of a deep stream).

You obviously haven't seen all the home & garden shows on TV. There they portage mantlepieces all the time.

I see no reason why not. I would check Chapter H for red lettered recombobulation.
