I've was asked by a few people to talk about my Wii, so I'll post it here.
Intro:
Try to get one on Launch day, didn't work out so good for me
Main Story:
The day was November 24th, Black Friday, Nintendo's Second Shipment for the Wii. Twas 4AM and I wake up, and getting ready to camp out EB Games for 2-3 hours since they open at 7am. It was 4: 10AM and I was pumped, excited, and hyperactive. My Mom Told Me to wake her up later at around 4:45AM. I didn't take that for an answer so I started shaking her to wake up. It was 4:30AM, and both of us we're ready. On they Way there My Mom told me that I better enjoy this, and appreciate, and other crap or i'm going to regret, so I took my chances. It was around 4:35 that we go to EB Games and their were a few people so I decided to take my chance again, and stick in line. After the next hour or 2, before the shop opened, a few people left. I was hoping one more might leave so I be guaranteed one. Then 10 minutes later they announced that they only had 8 units. I was 9th in line so I was so pissed off. But before I gave up and went home, I went to Gamestop to see how many people they were. I arrived there at 6: 50AM and they also open at 7AM. AMAZINGLY there were only 2 people in line! So I rushed to get in line. I could of swore those were the longest 10 minutes of my life. So when I got in, I asked how many Wii units they had and there were only 4 and I was 3rd in line! So Right there I was the happiest guy ever
I bought it with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz. The next day I went to buy another wiimote and nun chuck set, but they were out but I wasn't that mad since at least I have a Wii But I did buy The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Guide Book .
About Zelda - Preview/Mini Review:
This Game is Simply Amazing. To start things off, the tone of this game is Darker from previous Zelda Games. It goes back to the same style as Ocarina of Time and it is one Zelda Game to finally beat it. The game looks beautiful that you'll forget about the Wii's limited hardware. The Story line is long and fulfilling. It takes 50-70 hours or even more just to finish the main story even with the guide book. Then theres also the side quests. This game would keep you entertained for a LONG time. What may seem to be a simple task, is actually a puzzle as I figured that out within the first hour or so. Let's move on to Gameplay. This has to be the game to have perfect controls. And with the Wii's Controllers it makes it more fun and innovative than any Zelda Game before. People asked me if You have to extend your arms and similar question for that type of stuff. The only thing you really have to put 'effort' into is aiming with your slingshot and stuff like that. How to use your sword is another question. Well theres the A button for a jump attack, but while you're in the 'Lock On' mode (eg the by holding the 'Z' button), you can swing the wiimote to swing your sword (Note: Swings aren't accurate, they're not meant to). Also you can spin your nunchuck controller left and right to do a spin attack for hitting multiple enemies. Also when you finally get your shield, you may use the 'Z' button to block with it. Now lets go a bit into the part where you're a wolf. It's an awesome feeling being a wolf from when you're mauling an enemy to the part where you use your senses to dig through places and see stuff humans can't like spiritual souls of other humans. The real fun begins in the latter half of the game. Once you have your master shield, your awesome weapons/items, and the ability to change from Human Link to Wolf form any time you desire. Expect more from me later on when i'm not so tired
I heard this before and I TRULY Agree with it..
'It's not a matter of "Is it any good" but as "Just how GOOD is it". It's Truly fantastic.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
This game may not be as great as Zelda but it's definitely a great game overall. To kick this off it's an awesome party game. With 50 minigames to offer, you'll find all types of ways to use the wiimote. Not only that but the Main Game is pretty challenging and it's definitely will get harder as one progresses. The bosses aren't that hard to beat as of now. There is a red arrow indicating what to target in the game. Once you truly master the game. You'll be having so much fun level jumping from shortcut to shortcut. Not much else I could say since I'm writing so much XD
Stuff About the Wii:
Hoping most of you guys know about the Wii already and what it has to offer, I don't need to go into much detail. The Wii Channels is awesome. And seeing how many channels are empty, there's a lot of things the Wii can offer. Maybe a Music Channel? That'll be nice. Until Recently I looked at the back of my Wii and looked closely realizing there were 2 usb ports XD. I may have to connect a keyboard later on to see what happens. Have any questions? I'll answer them.
My Reactions And Other Stuff:
The Wii turned out Way Better than I expected it. Awesome layout and potential indeed. Right now I can't connect to WiiConnect24 Online Service Since I have error 110213. If you have that error you will not connect online and you have to call up Nintendo for a replacement unit, which is perfectly fine since it's free and you keep your old one for up to 21 days after the new Wii Unit comes or else you'll be charged. I'll be transferring my Memory Saves via SD Card. I'm amazed how amazing the Customer Support is with Nintendo. New Unit Should Be coming tomorrow since I was home yesterday or today to Sign the papers :/
Now I got online. Still looking for some friend codes. Hit me Up
Wii Sports:
Wii Sports came with the Wii. The Game Is Great but it's nothing without the multiplayer. When you have at least 2 people it is amazing. There are 7 options being Baseball, Tennis, Boxing, Bowling, and Golf. The other 2 are Fitness Mode and Workout Mode. The 5 essential sports games come with multiplayer being Baseball, Tennis, Boxing, Bowling, and Golf. The amazing thing is that you can play 4 player multiplayer with One Wiimote with the exceptions of Boxing and Baseball. When I want to play with a friend at boxing and baseball with a friend or more, We just take turns like I'll bat first or do the first round in boxing. Only thing that really upset me a bit was not being able to move around in tennis, and baseball turned me down :/ Fitness Mode is determining how old you are or how fit you are by age. You could only try it once a day though. Finally, workout mode is a series of exercises.
