Friday 7th played the Taking of Takrouna with Stephane Lantoine.
Despite the duration (8 turns) we thought it a short scenario due
to the low counter density ( 12,5 Italians Squads facing 7 Brits).
The scenario is longer than we expected though and we had to
stop in an undecided position at the end of British Turn 6.
IMHO, the Italans had the upper hand and Stephane thought that
the Brits' chances were fair.
I made the mistake to assault move 3 Squads in the EE10 brush.
No need to say that despite some good Morale rolls (one hero
created) the Italian heavy fire quickly sent them home in coffins.
In the meantime, the rest of the gang with Mr 10-2 crawled into
position through the series of crags around T8. Then their fire
started and the Italians started... to disintegrate.
Writing this AAR I do not remember the 2 Brits Heroes whereabouts;
Cowards !
Pleasant small scenario where both sides have their chance. Despite the
42/53 ROAR result, I think that, when properly managed, the Brits have
the upper handN
