Now playing Chilean side !!

This time Capitan Piluso is ordered to station Piloto Pardo near Port stanley
for 1 hour, head O brien sub towards ref points some 150 nm away and sink an
enemy cruiser, and- as you have already guess- thi is not going to be an easy task.
But nedless to say fear is not a word in CapitanPiluso vocabulary,
and here he goes...

My SS O Brien is really far away from ref points, so it is better to
head there and sink any target of oportunity along his way.Meanwhile TF05
(CL Pratt, FFG M.Zenteno and DD Blanco Encalada ) will escort Piloto Pardo in her
uncertain course towards Port Stanley.

A bunch of neutrals appear, but I guess the action will be near the islands. When
the TF is 30 miles from there I detach all ships from TF and hope this will
keep enemy focused on these sailors and speed up P.Pardo to reach her destination
area.

Some time after P.Pardo arrives, M.Zenteno detects two enemy UK skunks;time to
fire up 4 nice Exocets although 2 of them are nulled by UK defenses.Oh no,it s
a damned UK Tiger again ( and an Olwen too) so heavy fire will be needed here,
and 127mm DP and HE will do an excellent job :both of them are sunk.

Time is running and I need to position SS into ref point to meet last Vc, but
no way, clock reaches 12:00 and I am 50 miles away from that point.

To tell the truth,I almost can name this a total victory, was a really hard game,
amd with some more time of scen duration I could reach the 3 VC´s.:smoke:

It was another day of glory for CapitanPiluso navy, thanks Freeks for this
interesting scen , a fine good job.
(BTW, I shall welcome any tactical advice playing this side)

That's a nice battle report. A tactic you might try when playing the AI in this scenario is to use the long-ranged guns from your cruiser to strip away the enemy escorts before moving in on his cruiser. When you finally decide to close the range with his cruiser, send in your escorts either ahead of your cruiser to draw fire or send them in simultaneously. They might survive long enough to get into gun and torpedo range of the enemy.

Thanks for sharing your AAR.

I trusted my Exocet first but they were easily burnt by AA defenses, when I run out of Exocets my surface weapon range drop down a lot
