A4.12 Leader Bonus: Any Good Order MMC which begins and ends its MPh stacked with a leader of the same nationality in the same Location is eligible for a two MF bonus during that MPh, provided it moves with that leader in a combined stack and does not expend any of its MF to mount, ride, or dismount any form of conveyance. Bonus MF are always the last to be expended by a moving unit.

Situation. 2 MMC and a leader are stacked. Call it a 447 and a 467. All move together. The 467 and leader declare double time, the 447 does not. They all move together 6 MF. The 447 ends ITS MPh having been stacked with the leader his entire MPh. The double timing 467 and leader continue and leave the hex with the 447 and expend 2 more MF.

I think this is legal barring offical errata. Thanks for your help. Opinions are fun and encouraged :cheeky: , but please provide rules references when commenting on the legality of this move.

Thanks,

Don Hancock

You would have been correct, but unfortunately, there is official errata.

A4.12 In line 2, change "its" to "the". [An95w; An96;]

This is further supported in the ASLRBv.2, where A4.12 says:

Any Good Order MMC which begins and ends the MPh/APh stacked with a leader of the same nationality in the same Location, at the same level (2.8), and with the same wire/entrenchment/panji/paddy status is eligible for a two MF bonus during that MPh/APh, provided it moves with that leader in a combined stack and does not expend any of its MF to mount, ride, or dismount any form of conveyance. Bonus MF are always the last to be expended by a moving unit.

Now, this rule is bogus for more than one reason, so I've suggested errata for Perry...

The movement you propose would be illegal because of A 4.12

You could make a near-similar move by invoking A 4.2 - but that would require the 447 declaring CX also from at start of the move.

Hi Don.

This is an old thread, but I just wanted to point out that this is now legal again (as it was before the 95w errata), due to the A4.12 errata in Journal 6.

So now you get to use this tactic again. :)
