A25.223 Berserk Japanese Leader sequence of events

An IFT attack results in a NMC on a Japanese Leader 9-1 stacked with 2 x 4-6-8 squads. The Leader rolls HOB - HOB results in leader going Berserk. Treated as a Commissar so all units will automatically go berserk without a task check. The task checks would normally be conducted after the NMC rolls, but does the automatic berserk take place before or after the NMC rolls?

Additional question - do the Japanese squads still get the morale bonus for being stacked with a leader, I don't see in the rules that the leader has to be good order for this bonus although his negative leader modifier would not apply if he is berserk?

I think A15.41 says any unit going berserk does does so after resolving the attack (if any). Think that applies in an auto-berserk situation as well.
