THE INTRODUCTION AND EARY YEARS -2008
This was a Project I started Last Year
It more just to do something that takes about a month and give me some pleasure and a break from my usual writing jobs
Though fantastic resources exist that look at ASL or ASL recent releases – I thought that this would complement it as rather a report of the status and health of the ASL economy (very unlike our worldwide economy)
Here is the link to last year http://forums.gamesquad.com/showthread.php?t=72361
– I tried to improve this year

General Comments
Again this article explores what turned up at my Desk over the year in a strategic way of what was available to play. “Re – Release” is the same as release in this article as it is what turned up this year – I buy all reprints.- I even added MWT as it got in. in the nick of time and ASLOK scenarios that were free fro Christmas

Unable to do the pack from the Kansas City Gamers (too hard to get). There are others missing here as well eg VaeVictis etc and any internet scenarios – Part SK ones I might have missed – I only stuck to the easy ones I could get a hold of – See Mark Pitcavage excellent Desperation Morale Website for a more detailed list

The Tampa chaps, ESG chaps, Friendly Fire Chaps all produced regular products

A scenario design contest – Oh I wish I was creative – very inventive!!! And produced heaps of scenarios for those of you in love with that particular battle!

Conclusions
This is just a presentation of data not a criticism or a representation of what I liked to play this year – mainly as I only played about 20 in total – not much compared to the pickings – Some contenders for this list only missed out because they were harder to get that usual down her in Australia. I would have liked to be more detailed at ties but this was a compromise. I would also liked to have external checking but I felt that it was a big task to ask a friend and it was only going to go to the Forum level only.
I hope this helps someone,- I only used it to isolate the Tiger scenarios and where they fitted into the release etc etc. This is actually my searching document and in reality is a first draft (other things like planes I now go back and look for etc etc and do Tiger Tactic concepts).. You might of guessed I like PTO and Tigers but only they don’t occur that often

Wow, nice work!

One thing I noticed - you listed that there was a Chosin CG, when, in fact, there wasn't. (I thought there was supposed to be a CG in that pack as well... I could be wrong, but I think that's how it was first advertised.)

Uh...so did you count all this stuff manually, i.e., number of squads, Axis tanks, etc., scenario card by scenario card?

Just wondering...

Re: A Year OF ASL in 2009 - A Review Pt3

I think it's 13 Germ, 2 guns, only 4 tks. here.
I think you are right and I was tired last night when I did that - there is likely a few small mistakes

I did count it manually and its only for interest - not proofed 2 or 3 times --- and I dont play CG's so your right Chosin does not have one - I think I missed one other one as well but I am tired of it and it was at a stage that otehr may find it useful so I just put it out there

Please everyone - no shame in having any corrections put up
remember squads and crews are counted the same

Wow..........This is absolutely amazing. I often thought that I would never have enough time to play all of the scenarios I actually own. Now I know for certain that I will never even be able to play all fo the scenarios that came out in 2008 alone!!!
