In case you missed it there was a recent documentary on the BBC about amphetamine use in combat during WWII

It reminded me of talking to a RAF Pathfinder. He stated that he used them down the pub when things started to flag. Take one and the party started all over again.............
He was also the bloke that after every crash lost his Longines flight watch and had to ask for another.
