Wow! 5000 posts!

One the one hand, it makes be feel like I need a life. On the other I feel lucky that I have found a cool group of guys to hang out with and talk/play "the game".

Who would have thought that 10 years ago (wow has it been that long) when I contacted a guy who lived 40 miles from me, that I would be this active in ASL.

Some things I have learned over the past 10 years:

-at times I am not that good at this game (though I am tough on myself)

-I do not care

-I have two or three great friendships because of ASL (more than just gaming friends) and for that I feel lucky.

-I have some great friendships (more than just “gaming” friends) that developed because of ASL and for that I am lucky

-I start to get excited about ASLOK 100 days out

-one can never have enough ASL stuff (EXC: WILD BILL stuff)

-playtesting is work

-so is proof reading

-I do not like it when people play differently in "for fun" games as compared to "tourney" games and thus, I tend to shy away from tourney games

-warts and all we are a great group of guys

-there is nothing like a great game of ASL

-to all whom I have gamed with thanks for all the fun (sorry if I talked too much, drank too much played too slow or otherwise made your gaming experience a crappy one)

Peace out all!

Roger

Congratulations on a decade of ASL-ing! I just hope there's errata clarifying that should be an "EXC" rather than an "EX". :D

Roger,

Psycho promised me "Cheerleaders" when I made it..... But he "renigged". Kept muttering "Dirty hippie still hasn't sent the child support" or something like that......

To answer the thread question... Join date: Feb 2003, so around 600 posts/year. Not a bad rate. If you were averaging, say, close to 2000/year, you'd need a life! :D

As for the rest of it...heck yeah and game on.

If the answer is not obvious (get a life or keep going), you should simply keep posting the next 5,000 and ask yourself the question again at 10k.

Nice list Roger. I like lists. Tried to rep you, but system won't allow dirty hippies to be repped.

I average 474 posts a year. So, if you were averaging 475+ then you'd need to get a life.

Half a life would do...

That's cruel... Left half, or right half? :)

I average 2 posts per day - since Jan 2003. That's 6,200+ posts.

I guess I need a life - or a job that doesn't leave me in front of a computer all day.

Microserfs get no sympathy.

Now, if you responded to your true calling and became a carpenter, then I'd buy your spice rack.

Wow when you put it that way, 5000 posts since April of 2003 is not that bad. 2 posts a day is pretty minor.

Peace

Roger
