it's just a game
Wow! 5000 posts!
One the one hand, it makes be feel like I need a life. On the other I feel lucky that I have found a cool group of guys to hang out with and talk/play "the game".
Who would have thought that 10 years ago (wow has it been that long) when I contacted a guy who lived 40 miles from me, that I would be this active in ASL.
Some things I have learned over the past 10 years:
-at times I am not that good at this game (though I am tough on myself)
-I do not care
-I have two or three great friendships because of ASL (more than just gaming friends) and for that I feel lucky.
-I have some great friendships (more than just “gaming” friends) that developed because of ASL and for that I am lucky
-I start to get excited about ASLOK 100 days out
-one can never have enough ASL stuff (EXC: WILD BILL stuff)
-playtesting is work
-so is proof reading
-I do not like it when people play differently in "for fun" games as compared to "tourney" games and thus, I tend to shy away from tourney games
-warts and all we are a great group of guys
-there is nothing like a great game of ASL
-to all whom I have gamed with thanks for all the fun (sorry if I talked too much, drank too much played too slow or otherwise made your gaming experience a crappy one)
Peace out all!
Roger
