5 Who - Won't Get Fooled Again
12 Who - Baba O'Riley
23 Who - Behind Blue Eyes
43 Who - My Generation
59 Who - Pinball Wizard
97 Who - Who Are You
How could crap like this get in the top 100 when not one Metallica song is on the list and when Black Sabbath didn't even show up until like 143 or 146.

By the way words cannot describe my hatred of the band The Who.

Simple answer: Boomers rule(and have much better taste in music than most in the x and y generations)! We older Boomrs remember all the great music from Chuck, Buddy, Elvis, Roy, Little Richard, and Don & Phil forward. After the mid-70's the quality and creativity of most (but not quite all) of what came out took a nose dive.

I am like you, I love the old school rock. This new hard core stuff is poo. Anything from Chuck Berry to Richie Vallens, to The Who, to The Stones.

Hehe, what´s that bad with The Who? I don´t like it much either, but they sure did play LOUD. There are a lot more ´heavy´ elements in their music than in 99% of the other bands on the list. This is more about rock classics. Black Sabbath shouldn´t even be on this list but of course they had to put ´Paranoid´ in it.

so tell us your favorite from the list!
I have a similar hatred for Zeppelin and rolling stones...probably because the rock stations play their tunes them 24/7
