Hi all,

I'm wondering if anybody has think about to recreat in 3D the Scenarios or the maps for ASL? It would be nice to fly over or to move around the map with the mouse in order to see what the squads would really look in the battlefield.

What do you think?

Crusher.

3-D ASL maps

Didn't somebody make and sell on E-Bay some 3-d ASL mapsboards? The building tops could be removed to show units at different elevations. They were very impressive I thought and VERY exepensive though, and not sure about their real practicality.

There was a web site that had converted a number of ASL maps into Combat Mission Maps. Can't find the web site right now but when I find it, I'll pass it on. Combat mission gives one the ability to move down to level 0 and look around.

Pretty interesting excercise actually. There are a couple of ASL scenarios converted to Combat Mission (Hill 621 and Hube's Pocket come to mind). Getting down to ground level at various points and swiveling your head around gives a new perspective on LOS.
