3.51 Rain

Not so much a question but I'm seeking confirmation. I'm thinking about playing J43. EC is Wet and a Heavy Rain is falling. 3.51 doesn't mention Heavy Rain per se but I'm assuming that means the rain is falling and the Mist LV Hindrance is in effect.

I was expecting to have to keep my tanks to the roads, but Wet doesn't seem to affect Bog checks in any way. Am I missing something or is Mud (and worse) the only EC tanks need to worry about?

Based on E3.51 and E3.32, the LV hinderance for heavy rain would be +1 <= 6 hexes, and +1 more for each multiple of 6 hexes thereafter (FRU). E3.5 et seq. does not discuss bog checks. Compare 3.61 for mud. COWTRA, no bog modifiers for rain unless tucked away somewhere else in the rules.

You are correct; Rain does not affect Bog in any way.

Woohoo! No fear for the tankers! (I think CMBO had extra bogging during rain).

The only effect on movement is on changing levels (+ 1 MP or MF up AND down - and of course not in buildings)...
