3.31 Immoblization in a hammada hex.

Can some one please give me an example of what an open ground hex that is accessible to hammada hex is. Or at least explain it to me. I have just started to learn desert rules and am very confused now as to what this is.

"Accessible" is defined in the Index and refers to an Adjacent location which a hypothetical infantry unit could advance into under normal APh conditions.

So for the purposes of Hammada Immobilization this will refer to pretty much every open ground hex adjacent to to any Hammada hex that an infantry unit could advance into from the Hammada hex (or vice-versa). Unless there is a terrain feature which would not permit an advance across it, your vehicle in any open ground hex Adjacent to Hammada will have to roll for Immobilization if it doesn't spend the requisite number of MPs to avoid such a roll.

Thanks Chas.
That helps me. I thought it was something like that but wanted to make sure. :)
