Greetings,

As you know, the West Coast Rumble (WCR) is held in conjunction with the BottosCon Convention and as such WCR participants must register for the BottosCon convention. Due to space constraints, registration numbers are capped so please register as soon as possible to ensure your spot in the WCR. Rob is pretty good at refunding your registration if you need to cancel with ample notice.

Please click on the links on the BottosCon Convention website to register for the convention and for hotel reservations.

More information on the WCR will be coming soon, but the basis of the tournament will be:

Friday, 3 November 2023
1730 Opening Ceremony
1800 Round One

Saturday, 4 November 2023
0900 Round Two
1700 Round Three

Sunday, 5 November 2023
0900 Round Four
1515 Closing Ceremony

The BottosCon Convention has added a fourth day (Thursday, 2 November); currently there is nothing planned for the WCR; however, it there is enough interest; I can run a 3-Round Mini-Tournament with the following timeline

Thursday, 2 November
1200-1730 Round One
1830-2400 Round Two

Friday, 3 November
0900-1500 Round Three

Please let me know ASAP, so that I can plan accordingly and announce it accordingly.

Once again thank you all for past participation and support of the WCR, I hope to see you out this November.

Cheers

George

2023 WEST COAST RUMBLE

Attention, if you are planning to attend this year's (18th Annual) West Coast Rumble ASL Team, then contact Rob Bottos and register immediately or else risk the chance of missing out.

You must register for the BottosCon convention to participate in the ASL tournament and there is a limit of 140 attendees at the convention.

So register now, and if later you should be unable to attend, Rob is pretty good at giving refunds - with of course some notice.

Currently there are 3 people registered with 45 spots left, so don't hesitate and register now.

Heartfelt Thanks for a Successful 18th West Coast Rumble!

Greetings all,

As we wrap up the 18th edition of our cherished West Coast Rumble, I am filled with gratitude. This year, we welcomed a tight-knit cadre of 10 competitors, including a strong contingent of 6 from Washington State, alongside 2 from Alberta and 2 from British Columbia, each bringing their A-game to the fore.

Our four-round Swiss-style tournament was a crucible of strategy and skill, culminating in a thrilling point-based victory. The matches were fiercely contested, with only two requiring adjudication—a testament to the impeccable level of play.

The scenarios this year were particularly riveting, with several drawn from the latest Winter Offensive pack, eliciting enthusiastic reviews from all our participants. Such feedback is the lifeblood of our event and fuels our passion for continuous improvement.

Special congratulations to Steve Slunt, the champion of this year's rumble, whose prowess at the game was unmatched.

I extend my deepest appreciation to every one of you who carved time out of your schedules to partake in this event. It is your dedication to our shared hobby that inspires me year after year to curate this gathering.

Let's carry this spirit forward and rendezvous again for the 19th showdown. Until then, keep the dice rolling low!

Cheers,

George Kelln
