Greetings all,
This year’s West Coast Rumble saw 16 players participate in the 4-round tournament, matching our best turn-out of 2009. Sadly two players were unable to participate due to illness, which was a wise and much appreciated decision by all in the convention not just the ASL Tournament.
The field of participants were primarily from the Pacific Northwest (Vancouver, Victoria, Seattle, & Portland) with the Slunt brothers (Bill & Steve) flying in from Calgary, Alberta. A few new players were in attendance: Chris Brooks from Portland, Richard King from Seattle. One old player – Michael Erskine from the BC Lower Mainland returned to the West Coast Rumble after an 8 year hiatus.

I want to thank all those attended for making the time and the commitment to participate in the 2018 West Coast Rumble. In addition, I want to thank all the sponsors who had helped out with prizes: Lone Canuck Publishing, Gamer’s Armory, Battle School, Bounding Fire Production, Noble Knight Games, Le Franc Tireur, Friendly Fire, SS-Bar Enterprise (aka Burnie Hegdahl); your prizes help to make the West Coast Rumble ASL Tournament a memorable event.
Special thanks goes out to Rob Bottos, whose hard work and yeoman effort in hosting the BottosCon Convention has allowed for the near seamless running of the West Coast Rumble Tournament. He and his convention team’s tireless efforts to ensure that all conventions participants are enjoying themselves had made being a part of the convention a good thing.
Next year the West Coast Rumble is 8, 9, & 10 November; I hope to see everyone back and hopefully a few new faces.
Good Luck and Roll Low
