Anyone got any chess based new years resolutions or aims for next year?

I'd like to;
1. get my rating back to 1600 at chess.com
2. read Irving Chernovs move by move book
3. Play in a 10 minute per game tournament at chess.com

I think I am going to take a break from chess in 2013. I am burned out. Just not enjoying it as much as I used to. :OHNO: Eh, I've been playing it pretty hardcore for the last 15 or so years. Guess I am running out of steam.

Looks like i'll have to take up the role of regular chess update guy then.

I was also thinking of joining chess.com diamond membership, to get videos and some other extra stuff. You can sign up at a month at a time, so i might look at registering.

It depends what are you looking for, if you have a good computer programm, a database and several chess books you don't need all this stuff, otherwise is a good deal for a club player (I joined the diamond membership two years ago).

1. Live or normal?
2. I would suggest "Understanding Chess Move by Move" by John Nunn
3. Too fast for my taste
